Join Our Community of Athletic Trainers Today

Becoming a member of CTATS welcomes you into a community of opportunity. You have the opportunity to run for a Board of Directors position, which can look great on a resume if you desire to be a part of any committees with TSATA, SWATA or NATA. You have the opportunity to receive CEU’s from our BOC Approved Provider status multiple times a year. You have the opportunity to honor Chris Parks’ legacy by applying for his memorial award or serving on the committee to choose a deserving school. You have the opportunity to advocate for and support other Athletic Trainers in our area for example, the Kris Kapchinski Memorial. Lastly, you have an opportunity to make the most of your connections at our annual meeting where you have the expectation to network, grow, and potentially gain a friend.

Honoring An Advocate

The late Chris Parks was the long-time Athletic Trainer at Mexia High School; as well as Teague High School. He prided himself in his work, especially with his Athletic Training Student Program. He was an advocate for the Athletic Training profession by serving the community in as many ways as he could as a healthcare professional. His family has set up a memorial fund in his honor to award to one deserving secondary school athletic training program each year. We are in search of programs that have an Athletic Taining Student Program, and that promote the profession both within their own school and within the community.
